UGE develops, owns, and operates community and commercial solar and energy storage projects in the United States and abroad. With over a decade of experience in the industry, we are on the front lines, working to accelerate the transition to clean, reliable energy worldwide.

Our deployment team is growing quickly, and we are looking for a Solar Project Manager to support our projects in the United States.

UGE Solar Project Managers are responsible for managing multiple assigned projects in accordance with project contracts, schedules, budgets, and design specifications, as well as overseeing subcontractors and construction managers/coordinators.

Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas

  • Responsible for project management and execution of multiple contracted projects and coordination of new projects under development.
  • Manage all aspects of construction including budget and schedule, contractor supervision, and client relationships.
  • Ensure projects are executed ahead of schedule and under budget.
  • Ensure overall adherence of contractors to contracts.
  • Use Procore software to maintain up to date status of budgets, invoicing, site pictures, commitments, etc.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and ongoing communications with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent UGE in stakeholder meetings during the construction phase of the project.
  • Oversee other deployment staff, including subcontractors and construction managers.

Reporting Relationships & Interactions

  • Reports to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Oversee multiple external parties as needed to complete projects successfully.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven working experience in solar construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expertise in construction, particularly electrical work and safety management including OSHA, NFPA, National Electrical Code and incorporation of safety into the daily work routine.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.

Experience & Education

  • Experience in solar PV construction, preferably at a commercial scale.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work products.
  • High degree of effectiveness working in a collaborative and open culture of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong preference for experience with Procore or similar systems.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, data management, and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable of Authorities having Jurisdiction permitting processes
  • Plus if experienced with drawing software tools, such as AutoCAD.
